Congressman Steven Horsford Highlights Veteran Employment and Skill Development Programs in First House Armed Services Committee Hearing
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford joined his colleagues in the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) to hear final report recommendations from the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service. This was Congressman Horsford’s first official hearing as the newest member of the committee.
“I am deeply honored to sit on the House Armed Services Committee and advocate for Nevada’s servicemembers, military families, and veterans,” said Congressman Steven Horsford. “Today’s hearing was an important opportunity to speak with the leaders of the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service about creating new pathways to employment for veterans and expanding skill development programs in the federal service. I am grateful to the Commissioners — including my former colleague Dr. Joe Heck — for their hard work on this report, and I look forward to our future collaborations.”
