Congressman Steven Horsford Urges Congress To Pass Legislation Protecting Nevada's Public Lands
As the representative of Nevada's fourth congressional district, I proudly support the Natural Resources Management Act. This important bill permanently reauthorizes the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which has provided $40 million for local parks in Nevada and an additional $60 million for our public lands. In Nevada, outdoor recreation is a vital part of our economy, supporting thousands of jobs and contributing billions of dollars in wages and consumer spending. By voting for this bill, I am advocating for the expansion of outdoor recreation, particularly for underserved communities that rely on federal funding for park development. I look forward to working with colleagues from both sides of the aisle to further conservation efforts in the 116th Congress.
