Congressman Horsford Applauds Naming of Harry Reid International Airport

December 14, 2021

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV-04) released the following statement to applaud the naming of Harry Reid International Airport:

"There could be no better namesake for Nevada's largest airport than Senator Harry Reid. Over more than five decades of public service, he has been a champion for the people of Nevada, bringing our voices to the highest levels of government. Thanks to his advocacy, Nevada has received billions of dollars in aviation funding and Las Vegas has become the Entertainment Capital of the World. Senator Reid brought millions of dollars to North Las Vegas Airport in my district — but he also made our families healthier, our air cleaner, and our economy stronger. He is a true son of Nevada, and he is my friend. I could not be more proud to see McCarran Airport renamed in his honor."
