Internships

The Office of Congressman Steven Horsford accepts internships in both the Washington, D.C. and North Las Vegas office.

In Washington, DC, interns assist with a variety of tasks including answering constituent calls, researching legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings, assisting with media clips, drafting constituent letters regarding various issues before the House, and other tasks. As a result, interns gain a well-rounded understanding of the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.

In the District office, interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering constituent calls and assisting with other constituent services. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist with constituent casework or work on District-based projects of importance.
