Congressman Horsford Demands a Pathway to Citizenship in the Build Back Better Act

November 23, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week,Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV-04) and fellow immigration leaders in the House of Representatives sent a letter to Senate leaders demanding a pathway to citizenship in the Senate version of the Build Back Better Act.

"Last Friday, the House passed landmark protections for millions of immigrants through the Build Back Better Act. While this legislation is an important step forward, it falls short of providing the pathway to citizenship that Nevada's immigrant communities need," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "As the Build Back Better Act moves to the Senate, I urge my Senate colleagues to reinstate a pathway to citizenship for millions of Dreamers, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, farm workers, and essential workers. Now is the time to act boldly on immigration and ensure that every community is included in our efforts to Build Back Better."

The full letter, along with a list of signers, can be found here.
