WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV-04) joined President Biden and a group of House and Senate Democrats for a White House meeting to discuss the urgent need to pass the Build Back Better plan and deliver for America’s working families.

“With the Build Back Better Act, we have a historic opportunity to make progress on the greatest challenges we face — from the high cost of prescription drugs to public safety and so much more,” said Congressman Steven Horsford. “During today’s meeting, I made clear that my constituents are counting on Congress to work with President Biden to pass the Build Back Better Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal into law. These bills would make long-overdue investments to build a fairer, stronger nation, and the American people deserve to see Congress deliver."

Throughout the meeting, Congressman Horsford raised a number of key priorities for the people of Nevada’s Fourth District, including lowering drug prices, investing in community-based violence prevention, creating jobs through green energy investments, expanding workforce development programs, and implementing universal paid leave for all workers.
