Congressman Steven Horsford and Chairman Raul Grijalva Host Roundtable to Discuss Nevada Environmental Priorities

Las Vegas, Nev. — On Friday, January 17, 2020, Congressman Steven Horsford will host Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee, Raul Grijalva, in his district for a roundtable discussion of Nevada's environmental priorities.

The two Members of Congress will discuss pieces of legislation such as Congressman Horsford's recently introduced Desert National Wildlife Refuge and Nevada Test and Training Range Withdrawal and Management Act, which would create 1,310,806 acres of wilderness, the largest wilderness designation in Nevada history.

Also on the docket will be the ongoing discussion of blocking the reauthorization of the nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain and the upcoming proposed Clark County lands bill.
