September 3, 2019

Las Vegas, NV — On Tuesday, September 3, 2019, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) will join Congresswomen Dina Titus (NV-01) and Susie Lee (NV-03) for a press conference to celebrate Labor Day and the successes of the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, highlighting their accomplishments in passing legislation to benefit working Americans and their families.

Thus far in 2019, the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives have made progress on their promises to American working families, including the passage of:

H.R. 748, the Middle-Class Health Benefits Tax Repeal Act, which eliminates a 40 percent tax (the so-called Cadillac Tax) on high-premium employer-sponsored health care coverage; and

H.R. 582, the Raise the Wage Act, landmark legislation that gradually increases the federal minimum wage to $15 over six years.
