Congressman Steven Horsford Announces Addition of Larry Hamm as Wounded Warrior Fellow
WASHINGTON D.C. — Today,Congressman Steven Horsford announced the hiring of Larry Hamm as a Wounded Warrior Fellow in his North Las Vegas office. The Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program was created in 2008 to provide a direct opportunity for disabled and wounded veterans to work in the United States Congress.
"I am excited to add Larry Hamm to my staff in North Las Vegas as a part of the Wounded Warrior Fellowship program," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "This is a vital program that allows participating fellows to apply the skills they acquired during their military careers to federal service and continue their work for our great nation. Larry is a welcome addition to our office, and I look forward to working with him closely."
"As a resident of Nevada's 4th district, it is my honor and privilege to serve in this position and I hope to be able to assist my fellow Nevadans navigate our federal government," said Larry Hamm. "With my education in social work, I hope to bring knowledge of proven theories and processes of intervention to better facilitate positive results on behalf of all constituents."
Mr. Hamm entered service with the United States Army in 2008. He carried out multiple tours of service including to Korea in 2010 and Iraq in 2011 as part of Operation New Dawn with the 1st Cavalry Division. Mr. Hamm was medically discharged in 2016 and began pursuing a bachelor's degree in social work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he served as a practicum student with the Nevada Office of Suicide Prevention.
