April 28, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford joined the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee for a hearing on telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic and its future.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the immense benefits of telehealth services to expand health care for underserved communities," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "Today's hearing on the future of telehealth was an opportunity to discuss key issues, including access to broadband and multilingual care. As our health care systems begin to recover from COVID-19, we must ensure that telehealth remains an option and that our health care services are equitable and inclusive."

During the hearing, Congressman Horsford spoke about the importance of broadband for rural health care providers in Nevada's Fourth District. He also spoke with witnesses about the importance of having multilingual and language translation services available to telehealth patients.
