Congressman Steven Horsford Hosts Virtual Town Hall on Affordable Health Care and the American Rescue Plan

April 2, 2021

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford hosted a virtual town hall to highlight key health care provisions in the American Rescue Plan that increase access to affordable health care. Congressman Horsford was joined by Kelly Adams, CEO of Mesa View Hospital, Steven Flores, CEO of the Hope Christian Health Center, and Dave Passey, Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 9 Director of External Affairs.

"As Congressional Democrats worked to pass the American Rescue Plan, it was a key priority for me to ensure that Nevada families would not have to worry about the cost of care during the pandemic," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "The American Rescue Plan will cap health care premiums for working families, fully subsidize plans for those living in poverty, and cover COBRA premiums for workers who have lost their jobs. Help is here — and I'm thankful to Kelly Adams, Steven Flores, and Dave Passey for joining today's virtual town hall to raise awareness about how the American Rescue Plan will benefit Nevada families."
