Congressman Steven Horsford Mourns the Passing of Major General Bob Herbert

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV-04) released the following statement on the death of Major General Bob Herbert, who was killed in a car crash on September 24, 2021. Major General Herbert was a longtime aide to Senator Harry Reid and a member of the Nevada Army National Guard.

"I'm deeply saddened by the death of Major General Bob Herbert, a devoted public servant who dedicated his life to the people of Nevada," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "Bob and I had worked together since his early days in Senator Harry Reid's office, and he was a long-time mentor to me and my Congressional staff. He represented the best of us, and I was glad to count him as a friend.His work and his spirit will live on through the lives he touched, but he will be very missed. My prayers are with his wife, Karen Herbert, and his whole family in this time of mourning."
