Congressman Steven Horsford Releases Statement in Support of Renaming McCarran Airport in Honor of Senator Harry Reid

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford released the following statement in support of renaming McCarran International Airport in honor of former Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid.

"Senator Harry Reid is a proud son of Nevada who was born right here in Clark County. Thanks to his advocacy, my district was able to secure millions for critical upgrades at North Las Vegas Airport to modernize our infrastructure and keep communities safe. Under his leadership, Nevada received $2.4 billion to develop McCarran International Airport's new Terminal 3, which helped us meet the increased demand of international travel and bring more tourism and hospitality dollars home," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "During his decades as a public servant, he fought tirelessly for all Nevadans. He is a personal mentor and hero, but also a friend who shares my love for Nevada. I can think of no one else more deserving of this recognition than Senator Harry Reid and I strongly support renaming McCarran International Airport in his honor."
