Congressman Steven Horsford Statement on Shootings of Two Los Angeles County Deputies

Las Vegas, Nev. -- Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) released the below statement in response to the September 12th shooting of two Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies.

"Last night, a gunman opened fire on two Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies as they sat in their patrol car without any warning or provocation. The deputies are currently recovering from life-threatening injuries. As details of this senseless shooting develop and undergo investigation, I send my thoughts and prayers to the two sheriff's deputies, their families, and the entire Los Angeles community.

It is important that we do not allow this reprehensible incident to further divide law enforcement and the communities they serve. I condemn this reprehensible attack on these law enforcement officials. We must continue to work together so our communities heal and prosper."
