Congressman Steven Horsford to Host Nevada Tribal Leadership Roundtable

Las Vegas, Nev. -- On Thursday, May 14, 2020, Congressman Steven Horsford will host a Tribal Leadership Video Conference roundtable to hear directly from the Tribal leaders of Nevada's Fourth Congressional District about access to healthcare, broadband, educational gaps, community safety, environmental concerns, and protection of cultural lands.

"The federal government has the legal obligation to support our Tribal nations. I have been working hard to ensure that Nevada's Tribes receive the economic support they need and deserve and I will continue working to do all I can moving forward," Congressman Horsford said.

The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and feature Stacey Montooth with the Nevada Indian Commission, the Vice-Chair of Duckwater Shoshone Tribe Kathy Adams-Blackeye, Chairwoman of the Moapa Band Of Paiutes Laura Watters, and Chairwoman Amber Torres from the Walker River Paiute Tribe.
