Horsford Attends First Meeting as a Member of the DOGE Caucus

December 17, 2024

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) participated in his first meeting as a member of the Delivering Outstanding Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus, a bipartisan group focused on addressing inefficiencies and waste within the federal government. As an advocate for working families, Congressman Horsford released the following statement about his participation in the caucus to protect their interests:

“I’m here to defend the working families in Nevada that I represent. Being part of the DOGE Caucus makes sure I have a seat at the table during conversations about streamlining government programs and cutting waste. While we work to make our government more efficient, I appreciate that Republicans have made clear they will not propose cuts to vital programs like Social Security and Medicare, which are essential to our seniors and working families. I will continue to advocate to make sure any changes benefit our communities, not harm them. There’s a lot of work to be done, and I intend to make sure that the priorities of Nevadans are front and center.”
