Horsford Highlights New Report on Corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Horsford (NV-04) released the following statement regarding the release of the Congressional Black Caucus' new report, "What Good Looks Like: A Corporate Accountability Report on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion":
"As the only Black representative to Congress in Nevada history and the current Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), I’m proud to highlight this report from the CBC that shines a light on corporate America’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The findings of the report are important not just nationally, but for our communities right here in Nevada.
"Nevada’s diverse workforce is one of our greatest strengths and ensuring that businesses continue to reflect this diversity is key to our economic success. Most of the companies survey in the report have maintained their diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments and show what good looks like in corporate America.
"The report also provides best practices that can guide companies in Nevada and across the country to strengthen their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts going forward. These practices will contribute to a more inclusive economy and help close the racial wealth gap. Together, we can ensure that all Nevadans have access to the opportunities they deserve."
