Horsford Honors Fallen North Las Vegas Officer During National Police Week

May 15, 2026

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) this week spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives during National Police Week to honor Officer Jason Roscow of the North Las Vegas Police Department, who lost his life in the line of duty on February 4, 2025. Officer Roscow’s name will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., alongside officers from across the nation who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

Officer Roscow served the North Las Vegas community for 17 years, dedicating his career to protecting families and keeping neighborhoods safe.

“Officer Jason Roscow embodied courage, service, and sacrifice,” said Rep. Horsford. “For 17 years, he put on the uniform knowing the risks that come with protecting others, and he answered that call with honor. Nevada lost a hero and his family lost a loved one far too soon. During National Police Week, we remember Officer Roscow’s life, his service, and the sacrifice he made in the line of duty. We also stand with every law enforcement family carrying the weight of that loss.”

Congressman Horsford also attended the National Candlelight Vigil on the National Mall Wednesday evening to honor Officer Roscow and the law enforcement officers across the country who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Earlier this week, Mr. Horsford also voted in favor of H. Res. 1252, a Resolution Memorializing Law Enforcement Officers Killed in the Line of Duty, which honored Officer Roscow and his loved ones for making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
