District-wide effort will highlight the experiences of workers, small businesses, and families across Nevada’s Fourth Congressional District
NORTH LAS VEGAS – Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) today has launched the “Congressman on the Job” series, a district-wide effort where he will spend time on worksites across Nevada’s 4th District to better understand the day-to-day realities facing workers, small businesses, and their families.
As part of the series, Congressman Horsford will spend time alongside grocery clerks, restaurant workers, warehouse workers, health care workers, and others who keep the district and Nevada’s economy moving. The Congressman will hear directly from workers and employers about the challenges they face on the job from rising costs and how those increases are affecting households and business operations.
“Too many hard-working people are doing everything right every day and still struggling to get ahead,” said Rep. Horsford. “Working families are feeling the strain of rising grocery prices, higher costs driven by tariffs, and uncertainty around health care coverage and costs. As their representative in Congress, it’s important for me to spend time on the job with the people who power our economy, hear directly about their experiences, and bring those perspectives back to Washington so we can shape policies that reflect what working families are going through.”
The Congressman on the Job series is part of his ongoing effort to ensure federal policies reflect the real conditions facing workers, small businesses, and families in Nevada.
“This isn’t about a photo opportunity,” Rep. Horsford added. “This is about the people who keep our communities running. It’s about listening, learning, and walking a mile in their shoes. When Congress debates policies that affect workers, policies that shape paychecks, the cost of everyday goods, or access to health care, those decisions should be grounded in the real experiences of the people who keep our communities running.”
The Congressman on the Job series will take place at worksites throughout Nevada’s Fourth Congressional District in the coming months as Horsford continues meeting directly with the workers and small businesses that power Nevada’s economy.
