Horsford Names Joi Holliday-Sparrow District Director

NORTH LAS VEGAS—Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) announced that he has named Joi Holliday-Sparrow his District Director. Holliday-Sparrow is an experienced government and public affairs professional who most recently served as the University of Nevada, Las Vegas's director of advocacy.
 
“Constituent services and outreach are at the core of my work as Representative of Nevada’s 4th Congressional District. I am proud to have Joi Holliday-Sparrow lead my district staff in our efforts to deliver for my constituents and Nevada overall,” said Congressman Horsford. “She brings a wealth of experience that will enhance our partnerships with community leaders and organizations throughout Nevada and ensure that leaders throughout the vast district I am honored to represent will be heard.”

As District Director, Holliday-Sparrow will be the main point of contact for constituents, community leaders, business owners, and local elected officials throughout the 4th Congressional District. She will lead strategic planning and coordinate community events to connect with congressional district residents, ensuring information and resources about federal programs reach everyone. She will lead the district office staff, who together ensure constituent service remains a top priority for Congressman Horsford.
 
Before working at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Holliday-Sparrow was the Public Affairs Administrator for Southwest Gas Corporation. She was the Director of Legislative and Internal Affairs in the Office of the Governor of Nevada. She was a Senior Policy Analyst for the Nevada System of Higher Education. Holliday-Sparrow started her career at the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from Winston-Salem State University and received her M.Ed. in Higher Education and Policy from UNLV. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Affairs, also at UNLV.
