Horsford Praises SCOTUS Decision Supporting the CFPB

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) celebrated the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding the funding structure of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He released the following statement: 

“I’m thrilled that the Supreme Court made the right decision by supporting the CFPB. I was proud to cosign Ranking Member Waters’ amicus brief urging this ruling because I know the great work that the CFPB does to protect consumers and veterans every day. The CFPB has been instrumental in regulating financial practices that harm consumers and ensuring fair access to financial products. Since its inception, it has returned billions to consumers and lowered costs for Americans by curbing excessive fees and penalties imposed by financial institutions. This ruling is a victory for accountability and financial security for all.”
