Horsford Statement on Executive Actions on Border Security

WASHINGTON—Congressman Steven Horsford issued the following statement today following the White House’s announcement of Executive Actions on Border Security: 

“House Republicans have thwarted efforts at legislative solutions to keep fentanyl and other illicit drugs from entering our communities. Today’s actions are an essential step to protect our border, but as I’ve said before, we must have a balanced approach to future immigration policy, which requires Congressional action.
 
"I will continue working with the Administration to ensure DREAMers and the spouses of U.S. Citizens have access to work permits and that our Border Patrol has the resources, including technology and manpower, it needs to keep our communities safe.”
