Horsford Votes Against Mayorkas Impeachment, Calls for Bipartisan Border Deal
February 6, 2024
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) voted against the impeachment of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. He released the following statement after the vote:
“The same week that Democrats collaborated across the aisle to develop a comprehensive approach to strengthen our border security, House Republicans instead chose to focus on a politically-motivated impeachment that fails to offer any real solutions for the American people. Today’s vote diverts attention from confronting the real challenges we face and undermines our bipartisan progress toward addressing the fentanyl crisis and securing our border. Let’s solve this problem now and pass the bipartisan border deal.”
