Statement on the Partisan Aid Package
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) voted against the partisan package proposed by House Republicans that tied aid to our allies in Ukraine and Israel, and the Palestinian people, to giveaways to billionaires:
“House Republicans again are playing politics with our national security by bringing a bill that would add $26 billion to our Nation’s deficit by helping billionaires cheat on their taxes. The world is reeling from a humanitarian crisis caused by the October 7th attack by Hamas terrorists, now is the time to work in a bipartisan way to show support for our ally Israel and address the innocent civilian lives caught in the middle of this conflict.
"I urge the U.S. Senate to act quickly on the comprehensive Israeli supplemental package that includes humanitarian aid, funding to maintain U.S. military readiness to fight terrorism against our adversaries, and support for Ukraine to continue their fight against Russia."
