THURSDAY: Congressman Steven Horsford Provides House Legislative Update On Dream And Promise Act, SPIKE Act, and Secure Act

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV - On Thursday, Congressman Steven Horsford will hold a press conference to discuss his recent efforts in the House of Representatives to pass the Dream and Promise Act, SPIKE Act, and Secure Act -- legislation that fulfills his campaign promises.

In March, Congressman Steven Horsford helped to introduce H.R. 6, also known as the Dream and Promise Act, which provides Dreamers and individuals with Temporary Protective Status and Deferred Enforced Departure with a pathway to citizenship.

At the start of his term, Congressman Horsford promised to fight against skyrocketing prices of prescription drugs. In April, he introduced theSPIKE Act, bipartisan legislation to end price gouging by requiring pharmaceutical companies to justify large price increases.

TheSecure Act, recently passed in May, included legislation by Congressman Horsford to fix a provision in the harmful Republican tax law that raised the tax rate for scholarship and fellowship recipients.
