Remarks of Congressman Steven Horsford:

This is our power, and our message.

Last week's deadly insurrection put a spotlight on the damage caused by four years under a racist and dangerous president.

This moment in history calls on us to act.

We will impeach Donald Trump, continue Congressional oversight to investigate and examine the events of January 6, 2021 and begin the hard work of reforming our institutions to build back a better future for all Americans.

In the first 100 days of the Biden-Harris Administration, the Congressional Black Caucus will work with our partners in the civil rights community to fight for policies like our Jobs and Justice bill, which will create economic opportunity for Black Americans and work to crush this virus.

We will fight to make our justice system fair for all.

And together, we will insist on a society in which Black lives are fully valued.

This is our power, and our message.
