Congressman Steven Horsford Holds Veterans Roundtable

In my district, one of the pressing challenges we face is the state of medical care within the VA system. Our relatively new VA hospital plays a crucial role in meeting the healthcare needs of our veterans, but it requires immediate attention and support. Currently, there are over 400 vacancies within the hospital, resulting in prolonged wait times for veterans seeking care. This is unacceptable. As we gathered around the table on Monday, it became clear that addressing these staffing issues is essential to ensure that our veterans receive the timely and high-quality healthcare they deserve. It is my priority to advocate for filling these vacancies promptly so that we can provide the necessary support and resources to meet the healthcare needs of our esteemed veterans.
