Congressman Horsford Announces Over $481 Million in First Round of Funding for Roads and Highways in Nevada

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (D-NV-04) announced that Nevada will receive $481 million in new federal funding for Nevada's roads and highways from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that he voted to pass in November.

"Last month, I was proud to be at the table as Democrats negotiated a historic deal to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law. Today, hundreds of millions of dollars from the new law is on the way to Nevada," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "This funding will create good-paying union jobs, move goods to market faster, and keep Nevadans safe on our roads. Over the months and years to come, funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will build a stronger economy and a better future for Nevada."

This tranche of funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act can be used for construction, reconstruction or improvement of roads and highways.

This round of funding to Nevada has been apportioned as follows:

  • National Highway Performance Program: $253,252,588
  • Surface Transportation Block Grant Program: $123,203,962
  • Highway Safety Improvement Program: $27,421,349
  • Railway-Highway Crossings Program: $1,295,075
  • Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality Improvement: $35,487,225
  • Metropolitan Planning: $4,330,553
  • National Highway Freight Program: $12,593,115
  • Carbon Reduction Program: $10,985,686
  • PROTECT Formula Program: $12,491,513
