Congressman Steven Horsford to Host Virtual National Day of Prayer Celebration

Las Vegas, Nev. -- Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) is hosting a virtual gathering of Nevada's faith leaders in observance of the National Day of Prayer. This convening is an opportunity to celebrate the National Day of Prayer with the diverse faiths, cultures, and traditions that make up the fabric of our faith communities. The service will be streamed to the Congressman's Facebook Page.

The Congressman will be joined by Senior Pastor at First AME Reverend Karen Anderson,, founding Imam of Masjid As-Sabur Mujahid Ramadan, and Keith Thomas, the Greater Las Vegas Communications Council for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Emerita at Congregation P'nai Tikvah Rabbi Gloria Yochoved Mintz

"On this, the National Day of Prayer, we set aside our differences of faith and tradition and come together to thank God, not only for the blessings in our lives, but for carrying us through the challenging times," Congressman Horsford said. "While we may have to gather virtually this year, and not in our various Houses of Worship, we can still lift up our praises and commit ourselves to our faith and let it guide us through this dark time."
