Congressman Steven Horsford Announces Opening of Restaurant Revitalization Fund

May 3, 2021

Horsford Encourages Restaurants and Other Eligible Businesses To Register and Apply Through the SBA HERE

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford announced that restaurants and other eligible hospitality businesses (caterers, bars, bakeries, brewpubs, wineries, inns, and more) will be able to apply for direct relief through the Restaurant Revitalization Fund beginning Monday, May 3, at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET. The $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund was created by the American Rescue Plan that Congressman Horsford worked to pass in March. The law incorporated key provisions from the RESTAURANTS Act, which Congressman Horsford also co-sponsored in the previous Congress.

"Independent restaurants and food service establishments in Nevada's Fourth District play a vital role in our communities as employers, gathering places, and drivers of economic growth," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "As Democrats worked to pass the American Rescue Plan, securing support for local restaurants was a top priority for me. I'm proud to see the Restaurant Revitalization Fund open, and I look forward to continuing to work with the Nevada Small Business Administration to ensure that all restaurants receive the help they need."

The Restaurant Revitalization Fund will provide restaurants and other eligible businesses with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business. The relief does not have to be repaid, provided that the funds are put toward eligible uses by March 11, 2023.

The Restaurant Revitalization Fund application portal can be accessed at https://restaurants.sba.gov/requests/borrower/login/.
