This legislation aims to address the unique challenges faced by the Airmen and families stationed at Creech Air Force Base to ensure they receive the support they need while serving at this important military installation in Nevada.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) introduced the Tipped Income Protection and Support (TIPS) Act, landmark legislation aimed at eliminating the subminimum wage for tipped workers across the United States. It also ends the income tax on tips these workers receive. The bill seeks to ensure that all workers, regardless of their profession, receive fair wages and are not forced to rely on tips to make ends meet.

NORTH LAS VEGAS – This month, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04), Congresswoman Mary Peltola (AK), and Representative James Moylan (Guam) introduced the Veteran Service Organization Transportation Act to empower Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) in highly rural areas to apply for grants to purchase transportation for veterans in their communities to get to medical appointments. Veterans who live in counties with less than seven people per square mile will have access to the grant program.

This legislation would fix a long-standing loophole that has prevented contracted school custodians, bus drivers, security guards, nurses, cafeteria workers, and other essential support staff from accessing affordable healthcare coverage.
