Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is crucial for our military. Yet MAGA Republicans are more focused on eliminating it instead of prioritizing our military readiness, leaving the US Marines without a confirmed commandant for the first time in over 160 years, all due to the political agenda of a single Senator who thinks that white nationalists aren't racist.

Investors have the right to focus on their chosen values. Proxy advisory firms and the government have no business dictating what information investors can obtain. Limiting disclosures only hinders investors from making informed and crucial economic decisions.

I rise today in strong opposition to this amendment. As a concerned citizen, I believe that it is important to address the issue of "wokeism" in the military. While my Republican colleagues may argue against it, I firmly believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to our armed forces.

It's outrageous that as we're voting on our military's funding for the next year, hundreds of promotions are being blocked and our military readiness is disrupted at bases in my district like Nellis and around the globe due to the political agenda of only one senator, Sen. Tuberville.

As citizens of America, we must take action to protect our democracy in all areas, from voting to our education system to the judicial system. I urge everyone to exercise their right to vote and ensure that their opinions are being heard.

While our democracy is under attack, we as Americans, have the power to move our country forward. 

Rep. Steven Horsford, the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, condemned the Supreme Court's decision to strike down affirmative action in college admissions. He believes that it's still imperative for us to support diversity no matter what. 

Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) responded to the Supreme Court decision, 6-3, to gut the ability of private and public colleges and universities to consider race and ethnicity in admission decisions. With this knowledge, he encourages students to continue to apply to these schools and not give up hope. 

For decades, affirmative action has opened doors to segments of our population, from white women to Black, Latino, Asian, and Tribal youth, who had persevered as barriers after barriers came in their path, including many Nevadans.
