Today, the Armed Services Committee is reviewing & debating this year's National Defense Authorization Act. I'll work to ensure that the service members in each installation in Nevada receive the support they need to defend our national security at home & abroad.

I have invested in transformative technologies that will shape the 21st century, especially in wind and solar energy. Additionally, I am passionate about addressing the housing crisis and ensuring families are free from the burden of high living costs.

I am deeply concerned about the lack of financial services available to underserved communities in Nevada, with only two organizations currently offering such services. Nevada is a diverse and growing state, and it is imperative that we invest in communities that have been neglected. 

I am concerned about the risk and level of insecurity that the former president places us due to those illegally taken documents. It is troubling that charges are now being brought forward. However, I have faith in the criminal justice system and firmly believe that no one, including a former president of the United States, is above the law.

Representative Horsford argues the need for the Federal agency to focus on protecting consumers from unfair or deceptive practices in our financial marketplace, allowing every American a fair shot at starting their small business. 

Congressman Horsford took to the House Floor this morning to celebrate the Las Vegas Golden Knights winning the NHL Stanley Cup.

Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) questioned U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen about our recent debt ceiling crisis manufactured by Republican extremists and new efforts to add to our debt with Republicans' latest tax proposal. The hearing was held by the House Financial Services Committee.

Without our fundamental right to vote, there are no other rights. I was honored to join my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus at Chicago’s DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center for a Summer of Action event on protecting democracy for the people.
