WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) announced that he was elected to serve as the 28th Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Horsford will be sworn in as Chair when the new session of Congress begins in January. He has been elected to a two-year term that runs through the entire 118th Congress. He served as 1st Vice Chair during the 117th Congress.

WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 4118, the Break the Cycle of Violence Act, by a vote of 220-207. Congressman Steven Horsford introduced the legislation in June 2021. Today's action comes after portions of the legislation were included in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act passed in June.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford announced a $5.2 million grant from U.S Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration for the Walker River Paiute Tribe in Schurz, Nevada. The funding will be used to boost business development and job growth in the region by improving the local water system infrastructure.

Today, Congressman Steven Horsford voted to send historic, inflation-fighting legislation to the President’s desk.  The Inflation Reduction Act will deliver landmark investments to lower Nevada families’ kitchen table costs, create nine million good-paying union jobs, combat the climate crisis and dramatically reduce the deficit. The legislation also includes two bills from Congressman Horsford; one bill to cap out-of-pocket health care costs for Medicare beneficiaries and the other to incentivize the use of energy-efficient glass.
