NORTH LAS VEGAS - Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) today announced an award of $2 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Growth Opportunities program for CPLC Nevada, Inc.
The funds will support CPLC-NV’s Youth Growth Las Vegas project to prepare 156 justice-involved and/or at-risk youth for employment through education and training, paid work experiences, mentorship, and leadership development, along with 12-month follow up services.

Everytown for Gun Safety Fund will invest more than $2 million in community violence intervention programs in an effort to address gun violence across the nation.
The investment, announced Thursday, will be awarded to 34 community organizations across 27 cities. It is intended to help the organizations sustain long-term projects and offer the opportunity to access additional government, philanthropic and corporate support.
