WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) introduced two bills to address issues faced by veterans and active-duty servicemembers in recognition of Military Appreciation Month. H.R. 8381, the Strengthening Transparent Reporting to Improve Veteran Equality (STRIVE) Act, and H.R. 8382, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Crews Tax Relief Act, will improve veterans’ benefits and ensure equitable tax relief for remotely piloted aircraft crews.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) applauded the announcement from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to invest $28,650,000 to help Nevada identify and replace lead service lines, preventing exposure to lead in drinking water. Lead can cause a range of severe health impacts, including irreversible harm to brain development in children.

NORTH LAS VEGAS – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford joined U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and other local leaders to break ground on the Brightline West high-speed rail connection between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The 218-mile rail project will cut travel times between Las Vegas and Los Angeles in half and remove 3 million cars and 400,000 tons of carbon emissions annually.
