WASHINGTON – Congressman Steven Horsford today voted to pass the continuing resolution to keep our federal government open another 45 days. He released the following statement after the vote:

"Today, I voted to keep our government open and prevent a disastrous shutdown that would have hurt federal workers and their families and wreaked havoc on our economy. By avoiding the extreme MAGA Republican shutdown, we will prevent interruption in pay to U.S. servicemembers and keep our travel and tourism economy growing in Southern Nevada.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) introduced H.R. 5758, the ‘Pay Workers What They've Earned Act,' to reimburse federal employees for fees, interest, and fines charged through no fault of their own during a government shutdown. The bill would also reimburse state and tribal governments for costs incurred during government shutdowns.
