WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford joined Reps. Dina Titus (D-NV-01) and Susie Lee (D-NV-03) and Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) to introduce the Southern Nevada Economic Development and Conservation Act. The legislation will protect over 2 million acres of public land for conservation and recreation while allowing Clark County to develop affordable housing and responsibly plan for population growth projections. This legislation would be the largest conservation bill in Nevada history.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Steven Horsford reintroduced the Nuclear Waste Storage Informed Consent Act alongside Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-01) and Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03). Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Jacky Rosen (D-NV) introduced the companion legislation in the Senate. This legislation would require the consent of Nevada's governor, affected local governments, and impacted local tribes before a nuclear waste repository is constructed at Yucca Mountain.
